Taking collagen doesn’t equal an instant face lift, thick hair or long nails, it’s not that simple. You don’t take a β€œskin” product containing collagen and your body says message received, fresh young skin for you πŸ˜‰ in saying that it can help with skin health, however it doesn’t just go there first.

What is collagen? It’s a structural protein found in the connective tissues of the body.

Do you need to supplement? πŸ€” If you have enough protein in your diet, you should be just fine without it.

It can be beneficial in some gut healing protocols. 

It has shown to have benefits for joint health. Got the crunchy cracky joints? Take collagen around an hour prior to weight training and you should notice an improvement. The slow movement of weight training is more effective than using prior to a run for example.

You can gain benefits from green tea, however, you would need to consume many cups of green tea to a small 1/2tsp of matcha powder for the same effect.
