Morning Exercise…do we really need another reason? BDNF, that’s the reason. I often recommend morning exercise over afternoon exercise, particularly with clients who have sleep difficulties and here is another reason, BDNF. What is it?  Brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF). And what the hell is that I hear you say. It is a protein that is made inside the nerve cells and it functions like a superfood for our brain, it’s a brain fertiliser. Coffee - is it good or bad for us?

As students throughout my degree we sought out black and white answers and found it to be frustrating when there simply wasn’t. We were often provided an answer of “It depends”. And here I am, about to give you an “It depends”, it’s kind of annoying isn’t it. Do I drink coffee? Yes, I do, I thoroughly enjoy a long black made with love. Do I drink coffee all the time? No. I like to take breaks from drinking coffee as I avoid habitual behaviour (unless it’s a solid eight hours’ sleep), but that’s just me. I will also avoid coffee in the latter half of the luteal phase of my menstrual cycle and if life is busier than normal with additional life stressors. Been testing out my ITB with running after it got a bit angry post event and change in strength training program but we’re back 💥 Then went to goat yoga 😆 @l.stacey111 great suggestion!!! 🙌🏼

The lunch at @tweedriverhouse was beautiful and the team at @_halcyonhouse looked after mum and dad so well 🙏🏼

Did a few touristy things from @swellsculpture Holey Moley mini golf and snorkeling with the turtles 🐢 with my niece. Highly recommend a trip out with @watersportsguru ✨ 

Life moves fast and I’m so grateful to have had this time together. I look forward to seeing you all in clinic next week 🍋

Friendship, tiny windows of time 🤍 The sauna door Friendship, tiny windows of time 🤍 The sauna door closes and man can we talk. 

Contrast therapy is such a nice relaxation and health tool. This gorgeous girl also had the contrast of a 2am paramedic finish dealing with the intensity of that role to the peace of the sauna and cold pool. If I ever have an emergency I’d want you by my side @sowilos_moon 

The first time Kia showed me the hat I thought 🤔 But they’re amazing! Pure wool is an insulator, protecting your head and hair from the intense sauna heat. I like that we look like a pair of Scandinavian garden gnomes 😆
